Australia: Australian Employment Ownership Association (AEOA)
The AEOA of Australia is a non-profit membership association, which promotes and encourages the use of employee ownership programs in Australia. AEOA's web site provides information on employee ownership policies, news and articles.
Canada: ESOP Association Canada The ESOP Association Canada is a non-profit membership organization whose purpose is to promote the concept of employee ownership for businesses in Canada. Its web site provides information on ESOPs in Canada and offers a list of events related to employee ownership in Canada.
UK: Employee Ownership Option
The UK Employee Ownership Option program was established with the assistance of the EU to provide information on how employee ownership can bring together employees, business owners, and trade unionists. It raises the awareness of employee ownership option to firms that are threatened with closure. It offers seminars and advisors.
UK: Employee Share Ownership Centre
Based in the UK, the Employee Share Ownership Centre is a non-profit subscription-based organization, which seeks to lobby and perform research in the interest of developing employee share ownership in the UK and Europe. Its members include experts from accounting firms, banks, and consultants as well as privately held companies.
UK: Employee Ownership Association
The Employee Ownership Association has been researching, lobbying and advising on employee ownership for over twenty years in the UK and around the world. The Association is an independent, not-for-profit organization supported financially by the leading employee-owned companies in the UK.
Hungary: Hungarian ESOP Association The Association was founded in 1992 after the issuing of the MRP (ESOP) law. Its aim is to co-ordinate the companies of employee ownership. Employee ownership was possible in Hungary even before the issuing of this law, but the legal regulation gave more opportunities to MBOs (Management Buy Out) and the domestic employee ownership in general. Sixteen percent of the Hungarian firms work as MRP (ESOP) companies. The average proportion of employee ownership of Hungarian firms is 27 percent. At more than a half of the ESOP companies, ESOP organizations are majority owners.
Netherlands: Netherlands Participation Institute The Netherlands Participatie Institute helps new and existing employee ownership firms located in the Netherlands with employee participation strategies. Additionally, the Institute publishes information on employee participation schemes, conduct research, host workshops, and advocate on behalf of employee participation.
Russia: Russian Union of Peoples Enterprises The Russian Union of Peoples Enterprises (RUPE) is a nonprofit organization uniting commercial organizations of firms with more than 50 employees, holding on its purposes and tasks. The greater part of its membership consists of employee-owned businesses created by the transformation of open joint-stock companies in accordance with federal law.
Worldwide: Global Equity Organization (GEO)
GEO was conceived to be an organization available to anyone around the world interested in the issues related to employee share plans. This includes individuals who are currently responsible for stock plans at their company or for individuals who are considering such a plan.
