Reserving a Hotel Room
Please Note: Registrants are responsible for their own hotel room reservations. We strongly urge you to make reservations early - discounted rooms are limited.
To reserve a room, call central reservations at 1-800-233-1234. To receive the special conference rate, make sure to mention that you are attending the NCEO/Beyster Institute 2008 Employee Ownership Conference. Conference room rates are $215 for a standard single or double and $239 for a deluxe city-view room located on one of the top floors of the hotel (all rooms are subject to applicable taxes). Rates are guaranteed, if rooms in our block are still available, through March 10, 2008. Reservations received after that date will be accepted on a space- and rate-available basis. If the hotel sells out, or if you are interested in alternative accommodations, please check online sources or call the NCEO office (510) 208-1300 to obtain a list of nearby hotels.
Did you know that reserving a room in the conference block helps keep our conference registration rates affordable? The number of sleeping rooms occupied in the hotel affects bottom line conference costs. If our expenses increase, we may need to increase registration fees in the future.
Parking
Hyatt Regency standard self-parking is $12 per hour, $20 for 9 hours, or $24 for over 9 hours or overnight. Valet parking with in-and-out privileges will incur additional charges. Additional parking is available close to the hotel in parking lot A of the Convention Center. If you arrive before 9 a.m., you can park until 7 p.m. for a day rate of $16 (no overnight parking). For further information visit http://www.mccormickplace.com/maps_direct/maps_dir.html (prices subject to change).
A Green Meeting
Our goal each year is to keep the conference as green as possible. Towards this end, we provide conference materials for all attendees without excessive surplus, and suggest the same to speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place will provide receptacles for separating paper, cardboard, and other recyclables. The hotel also gives guests the option to save water by limiting the laundering of linens in sleeping rooms during their stay.
Socialize, Network, and Experience Chicago!
You've come to learn, but also to network. So before and after sessions we've included informal refreshment breaks in our exhibit area and several special occasions that will allow time for networking and socializing in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Take advantage of all Chicago has to offer and stay a few extra days! Take a walk along the lakefront to Navy Pier and Millennium Park, visit Chicago's many internationally renowned museums, do some shopping on the beautiful Magnificent Mile, and select between elegant four-star restaurants and every authentic ethnic cuisine imaginable. At night, head for the theater district for a show or experience live blues and jazz at one of Chicago's many clubs.
