Entrepreneurial Confidence Index

The Beyster Institute offers the Entrepreneurial Confidence Index as a means of determining the entrepreneurial potential in a particular area. This leadership survey is designed to be predictive of entrepreneurial CEO success.  It incorporates the latest predictive research methodologies and provides a diagnostic tool to identify areas for potential development that will increase the likelihood of entrepreneurial success.

The index surveys three key components: background and experience, personality profile, and role skill and management. 

Background & Experience looks at the individual’s:

  • Education
  • Entrepreneurial experience
  • Exposure to successful entrepreneurial role models
  • Access to resources, mentors, peer support, potential clients

Personality Profile looks at the individual’s:

  • Self-Efficacy, drive, perseverance
  • Ability to identify business opportunities & see the “big picture”
  • Competencies in creating and communicating a clear vision (goal setting); building & managing a team; attracting, managing and retaining key employees, clients, and resources; and passion - sense of urgency.

Role Skill & Management looks at the individual’s behavioral competency to be:

  • Entrepreneur
  • Technologist
  • Manage
