In planning programs for entrepreneurs, the Beyster Institute conducts a needs assessment to ensure that its training and other programs will fit the needs of entrepreneurs in a certain industry or geographic area. This study seeks to identify:
What high potential entrepreneurs believe are the most useful types of business knowledge, practical skills and personal development issues that are key to their success
How they prefer to learn. In addition, it assesses how entrepreneurs perceive the environment for entrepreneurship and learning in which they find themselves.
Through a survey, entrepreneurs rate their skills, the usefulness of their skills, and their interest in additional skills. Their responses are then woven into programs for training, network development, and advocacy.
