Entrepreneurship Learning Modules

Meeting significant training needs with limited resources is a difficult proposition but is nevertheless a reality. Using a modular approach, the Beyster Institute's custom training takes into account not only the specific training needs of a region or market, but resource limitations as well. B y breaking training down into manageable modules, even very large training needs can be addressed in a timely, affordable manner.

The Beyster Institute has already developed a number of modules on topics that can be utilized to get training started immediately. Modules that are more advanced or more focused for the target audience can be built simultaneously to create a high value training package that is comprehensive, timely, and applicable to the needs of the learning group.

Making Winning Presentations To Investors: How to Raise Money to Build Your Company
This workshop identifies the key factors entrepreneurs must communicate to investors to be successful at obtaining funding. By looking at what investors consider in making an investment decision, the program helps entrepreneurs successfully pitch their company to an audience of investors, or in a personal meeting with a venture capitalist.

Leading a High Performance Company
This module focuses on the entrepreneur and his/her company's growth potential. Participants discover how to get the most out of their company and their employees at this dynamic workshop, where they learn the four major components of leading a high performance company: (1) setting a strong example; (2) learning to delegate effectively; (3) measuring the performance of the company and the team; and (4) rewarding and promoting the best people.

Entrepreneurial Marketing: Creative Approaches to Winning Customers and Capturing Markets
To build successful companies, entrepreneurs must learn how to do much more marketing with fewer resources. By focusing on the unique marketing challenges and opportunities in fast-growth, entrepreneurial firms, this workshop shows entrepreneurs how to utilize innovative, powerful and cost-effective marketing techniques to win customers and capture markets.

The Real Power of Numbers: How Entrepreneurs Can Use Financial Statements to Grow Their Businesses
Entrepreneurs who really understand what is behind their companies' numbers are more credible business leaders and thus are far more likely to get the funding they need to build their firms. This module shows entrepreneurs the practical uses of financial statements in running and expanding their businesses. But it is not an accounting course. Rather, it is a workshop designed for entrepreneurs to show them the secrets of reading, understanding and using critical financial information.

Corporate Governance for Successful Entrepreneurs
To raise capital for their growing companies, entrepreneurs must create confidence in the minds of potential investors. One of the most powerful ways to do this is by establishing a credible system of corporate governance. This workshop shows entrepreneurs how to create such a system, and in the process increase their chances of raising capital for their growing companies.

Cash Flow Management for Growth
This module focuses on the entrepreneur's understanding of the impact of cash flow on their company's growth. After completing the interactive workshops and case studies of this program, participants will learn four key components of successful cash flow management in a growth company: (1) understanding the differences between profit and cash (2) measuring and monitoring cash flow through financial ratios; (3) being aware of the link between growth and the corresponding demands on cash; and (4) operating strategies and tactics for maximizing cash flow.
