Beyster Institute
CSO & NGO Development

The Beyster Institute has established and implemented a number of programs that facilitate the formation and development Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to be locally supported and financially sustainable. Beyster Institute training programs for CSO & NGO leaders provide hands-on, experiential tools and techniques to improve their leadership skills, improve the quality and outreach of their advocacy initiatives and programmatic offerings, and increase their organizational effectiveness in the areas of fund raising and partnering with private sector organizations.

Another element of training for CSO & NGO leaders is a matching program where emerging leaders are partnered with an established organization for an in-depth analysis of the factors that ensure sustainability and more efficient mobilization of their existing resources. Training participants also undergo a comprehensive assessment and develop a strategic plan that enables them to utilize the concepts learned in their training program.

The Beyster Institute also offers experience in building CSO & NGO networks. Through online tools that facilitate collaboration, such as affinity groups, a web site or a portal, these networks are able to collaborate, reach out to others for advice, and to tap into a broader experience base for problem-solving.
