Challenge Your Employees To Become CEOs - Certified Employee Owners Looking for a great way to increase your employees' understanding of their ownership and their company? A "CEO Program" may be just what's needed.
First conceived and implemented at SAIC, the CEO Program is a creative way to foster your company's ownership culture. The CEO Program engages employees in learning about their ownership plan and how they can contribute to the success of the company.
While every company comes up with its own unique package, there are two core elements common to these kinds of programs:
- A fun, creative program that challenges every employee-owner to become a CEO by taking interactive courses to learn about the company's ownership program and financial statements. These courses should teach employees how their company's stock program works, what drives company profits, how to read financial statements, and how the financials connect to stock pricing.
- An incentive system that includes tangible and intangible (recognition) rewards for those who achieve CEO status.
Each company we've worked with has added its own unique elements to their CEO Program including employee assessments (to measure employee attitude shifts and learning as a result of the program), individual and team competitions, posters, a CEO photo wall, CEO Certificate signed by the CEO, "CEO" logo item prizes, monetary awards, CEO recognition on the intranet and at management meetings, and many more creative ideas.
